Senior Summer Interclub
A competitive tournament for adult players, held during the warmer months from September to April, with a break over the Christmas holidays. Team registration is due in August every year.
Matches take place at midday every second Saturday at various clubs across the Auckland region, providing a mix of home and away games.
Interclub options:
- Presidents (Mixed) – Presidents is for players 30 years and older. It consists of male and female players, with players playing both a Doubles and a Mixed Doubles match per contest.
- Mixed Fours Presidents – A four-person team, two men and two women, with each player playing both a Doubles match and a Mixed Doubles match per contest.
- Super Men's and Women's – Four players in each team, with each player playing three Doubles matches per contest. Each match is first to 8 games.
- Singles Mens and Womens – Four players in each team, with each player playing both a Singles match and a Doubles match per contest.
Players umpire their own games, promoting a fair and sportsmanlike environment.
Players are graded based on their abilities – we will do the grading for you. Teams then compete against those with similar rankings to ensure balanced and competitive matchups.
Throughout the season, the regular players in each team accumulate points based on their game-day results, which contribute to their team’s standing on the competition ladder.
There are costs associated with playing Interclub over and above the membership fees to cover the team entry fee with Auckland Tennis as well as ball costs. All official Interclub matches are played with new balls. Teams may also decide to play in Maraetai Club shirts – at players’ own expense.
